Hello! ¡Hola!
I'm Kristyn, former Spanish teacher and missionary to Peru, pastor's wife, and homeschooling mom of three (one of whom is now in college). I love reading with my kids, camping, hiking, and exploring state and national parks.
My educational background is diverse:
I received a BA in biology with a minor in Spanish. From there, I took an educational hiatus, moved states, and traveled in Latin America.
Upon returning to the USA, I took graduate courses in the Spanish language, studying grammar, literature, and composition.
After getting married, I taught Spanish while earning my teaching certification, helping to put my husband through seminary. Once he graduated, we moved to Latin America for several years as missionaries.
There has been a long gap between those early days of young children, intense homeschooling, and today, but in recent history, I have worked through completing the general transcription course from TranscribeAnywhere and the general proofreading course from ProofreadAnywhere.
My natural bent toward grammar, spelling, and the like has lent itself to my current professional endeavors in offering freelance transcription and proofreading services.
I thoroughly enjoy assisting in professional projects in various ways, whether it be blog posts, podcasts, videos, interviews, books, sermons, or any other worthy endeavor.
